more mobiles
Hellooo how cool are these?? Breaking away from the common mobile sculpture while using/simulating natural mediums such as driftwood and green leaves.
...seriously crazy about these right now.

mobile sculpture
I love mobiles. I love seeing them in art galleries and in people's homes and all over the place. I really want to learn how to make them and have them be all ornate and balanced and magical looking. These caught my eye.

keeping track of 2010
One of my favorite things to do each Christmas is go to the bookstore and pick out a calendar for the new year. When I was younger I'd choose from Disney princess and some form of baby animal theme. 2009 was a beautiful selection of antique maps.
I kind of skipped calendar shopping this past Christmas since I got a shiny new iPhone. I've been using it's calendar feature and it's been amaaaazing. But now that we're half way through January, I realize that I miss my paper calendar hanging on the wall where I can see it everyday.
Here are a few that have caught my eye...
I really like having just one sheet that displays all of the months. 2010 might be the year I change over to that instead of a regular ol' one that you flip each month!

wine corks
So look at this! Free People just posted about making art or useful things from wine cork trivets. Just last night a friend was telling me how her grandma used to do this and I should save them and make something. It was kind of hard to picture what she was talking about but thanks to FP I see that they're really cool [and useful!].

cozy apple
apple cozy...I think I want some apple cozies. I've been roaming around Etsy to see what people are selling and honestly?...while I love etsy and want to support other people's work the ones online are kind of expensive. They're super cute, but I'm sure I could learn how to knit one up myself.
If I did want to spend 10ish bucks here are some I'd choose from...
