yarnz.

My yarn situation is getting a little out of hand. The basket I have is no longer big enough and my yarn is overflowing! Looks like I'm now on the search for a yarn friendly basket : )

Etsy Wednesday continued...

[Etsy Wednesday]

Today kind of became Etsy Wednesday since the last few posts are all items you can find on the wonderful Etsy.com.
Here is another must have that I am drooling over...

How gorgeous is this wrap?! It's something I'd want to wear everyday, all day.
The plumavera wrap from Zelaya's shop.

Plantable tags!

This is brilliant!! This would be a great gift all intself!

100% recycled tags created from gathered junk paper and cut into various shapes. They are triple pressed, dried indoors to preserve their color and hung by hemp string. Different types of seeds are mixed in the process to create lovely plantable gift tags! Great idea for a wedding too : )

thinking of valentines

Last night I was wandering around Target and noticed the complete absence of Christmas. I mean, I know Christmas is over but what happened to the clearance section?! It was gone, just like that, no more. Out with the old holiday and in with the new. All of the valentines cards were out and the beginning of candy hearts and plastic red and pink pails were taking over [along with the first wave of bathing suits which I reluctantly browsed through]. So, in lieu of preparing for the holiday of love, here are some very sweet cards I found...

hmmm, should I go with sweet or silly this year?

"Sex and the City" shoes

Even if these shoes may not be exactly my style, I think the DIY project for them is just fabulous. You just can't go wrong with turning an old pair of heels into something stylish, snazzy, and new!

You don't even really need a sewing machine either. Check out Hope Studios for the full project.

hooks and jars

Truly one of a kind!
I am seriously loving these adorable, decorative wall pieces. This would definitely inspire me to keep fresh flowers in the house more often!

new idea?

The other day at work someone threw a crazy idea at me...open an Etsy shop of knit creations.
My initial thought is why should I open a shop of various cozies, scarves, etc. when there are already so many out there? Then I started looking around...and...I mean, there aren't too many shops.

For now it's fun to see all the creative ideas out there.
Here are a few that I really liked!

I really like the covers that can close completely. Those sleek iPods and phones slide out so easily! Buttons also add just the right amount of charm too :)
The best part about making cozies for anything is the quick satisfaction of another project labeled "Done"!!
